A rail goes through Kibera slum, bordering Royal Nairobi Golf Club. When no trains are passing the railroad is in use as a narrow slum shopping street. The rail is used as commodity display [more, from my first visit] . Indeed some days earlier, we had been at the hole closest to Kibera and heard the rattle of a derailed wagon for some seconds after which the train stopped abruptly. At that first occasion we got a similar explanation from our caddies. This time I continued, played 27 over, then, returned home, googled the news. The derailment, reported to probably be caused by sabotage, was more spectacular:
