The golf industry provides floaters: balls slightly lighter than the official golf ball, so they float. Golf courses use ponds with border nets to catch and direct floating balls downwind for collection. The experienced sailer/golfer however, can hit balls straight upwind from a beach and simply wait for them to be returned by waves and wind. Good exercize and a great joy!
