Closing a Leak, Part 4
Delay: Birthday prolonged with one full second

... party invitation ...

... only 2 people ever noticed that a few years ago I changed one word to cheer up that utterly depressing green ecozealotic bottom banner ...

As if this is not enough, it has been decided UTC is too far ahead of the atomic clock and give it a leap second at June 30, 23:59:59 hh:mm:ss that is three hours after midnight here, so the bloody birthday will even last a full second longer [Source, NOT the Vatican, that felt in charge of our time for centuries: the Bible belt switched to the US, so now US Navy Time Service Department calls the shots].

My dear Nairobi friends, who so numerously and happily reported last year at my 60th birthday, when I still was in my full glory, have all seen the light and wisely stay away. I can't blame them: what if I pass away during the party? Would give a lot of work. Had it been one of them, I would also stay away. Sure.

... Leak cover plank requires 9 mm torsion ... but hell, its TEAK ... patience and gentility required ...

It is getting silent around me ... gloomily I watch the the gauging rod of my torsion installation. Will I have my 9 mm torsion by Monday?, I desperately ask myself. Fucking teak.

...  to my disappointment no one seemed to worry whether a dinosaur like me would survive his birthday party ...

... 61 ...
... battlefield next morning ... as a courtesy to my party guests I had procured some tools they might need in the event of my untimely decease (foreground right) but to my relief they had not needed it ...

... required patch torsion created...

... Elgon teak patch press-screwed in  with Sikaflex rubber kit full surface between ...

... epoxy  ...

... launching on my own by jacking up the rear some twenty times ....
