I saw quite a number of introductions to special relativity while,
as a retired mathematical economist,
trying to understand the subject but never found it explained as I
now do to myself. Tools from my field, where they generally lead to frustrating
empirical results (!), turn the subject into high school
stuff, not even surely of the final year.
